516 2nd St., Hudson; 715-381-5092 Winzer Stube is a true German Restaurant in the St.Croix Valley, located in the lover level of the Opera House in Hudson Wisconsin. The ambiance is like a wine cellar in the wine regions of the Mosel, Saar and Rhein valley. Where most of our wine is from. The menu is regional in taste with recipes from my mother and grand mother. They thought me well by preparing many meals in our kitchen for the family growing up in Konfeld/Germany. Some dishes like Schnitzel, Rouladen and sausages are a must, house made sauerkraut, red and white cabbage and sptzle must be served along as sides. We pride ourselves in making everything fresh in house which certainly make a difference in flavor. Apple Strudel is baked twice a day, served with cinnamon whipped cream and vanilla ice cream. What a treat that is. I have been on Rebecca's Garden Show" with four different recipes on two occasions. The Cream of Mushroom soup is still the most popular recipe requested until this day. Now we serve it at Midi Restaurant in Duluth too. We also serve American dishes and we have a vegetarian category. Our children's menu is very popular amongst the kids since Thursdays kids eat free. We have 3 soups daily and a special every day. Other promotions are: |
